A dead, leaning, or storm-damaged tree near your home is a daily worry. Every gust of wind, every ice storm, you wonder if today is the day a limb hits the roof or the car. That stress should not drag on for weeks. Our tree and landscaping crew takes the tree down, hauls the wood, and leaves your yard clean, usually in one visit.
We are Kingdom Tree Company, a licensed and insured family-owned tree service based in North Canton. Large tree removal starts at $999. The price is written, named, and pretty cut and dry before we lift a saw.
Signs You Need Tree Removal
Some trees announce the problem loudly. Big splits in the trunk, mushrooms growing at the base, bark falling off in sheets, dead branches you can snap with one hand. Others hide it: a slight lean that got worse after the last storm, half the canopy with no leaves, roots lifting the sidewalk. Any of those is a sign to bring someone out to look.
Waiting almost always costs more. A standing dead tree gets brittle. A leaning tree gets heavier on one side. Once a tree fails on its own, the price is no longer a standard removal, it is an emergency call with possible roof or fence repair. If the trunk is hollow, the lean is over your house, or major limbs are dead, removal is usually the right call. If the tree is mostly healthy and the problem is one section, trimming or a health check may be a better fit.
Our Tree Removal Options
Most jobs start with a free on-site walkthrough. We look at the tree, the drop zones, what is around it, and how to get equipment in. Then we give you a written price. For a standard yard tree, that is a straight removal with ropes and rigging. For tight spots, trees over a roof, or anything we cannot safely drop in pieces from the tree itself, we bring in a crane. See Crane-Assisted Tree Removal for what that covers.
If the tree is already down or hanging on the house, that is an Emergency Tree Removal, not a scheduled removal. We respond weekends and after hours for those. If you want the stump gone too, add Stump Grinding to the same visit and you get a bundle discount. The tree, stump, and topsoil package adds yard restoration for a $399 add-on, so you do not look at a dirt patch for a year.
Not sure the tree has to come out? Ask for a Tree Health Assessment. Sometimes Tree Trimming & Pruning is enough to fix the safety risk and keep the tree. Once the work is done and you want the yard back to flat usable grass, we handle that through Yard Grading & Leveling.
Tree Removal for North Canton Homes
Northeast Ohio is hard on trees. Wet springs, ice storms, big wind events off the lake, and a lot of older neighborhoods with mature ash, silver maple, and pin oak that are past their good years. After almost every storm we run more calls in Stark, Summit, Medina, Wayne, Portage, Tuscarawas, and Mahoning counties. Canton, Akron, Massillon, Wooster, and Cuyahoga Falls see the most damage, but we cover the whole region.
Local soil and lot size also matter. Many North Canton yards are narrow, with a driveway on one side and a neighbor on the other. That changes the rigging plan. We have done a lot of these and know how to set up a safe drop zone without tearing up the lawn.
What to Expect
Call 330-227-4279 or use the form on this page. The answering service routes after-hours and weekend calls to the on-call crew. We schedule a free on-site visit. Joel or a lead climber walks the property, looks at the tree, checks access, and writes the price right there. Large tree removal starts at $999. If we need a crane, that is $2,999 flat and covers the crane, crew, and full cleanup.
Most standard removals are done in one day from setup to cleanup. Bigger or crane jobs sometimes run two. You get the written price before we start. No change orders unless you ask for more work.
